For more than 100 years, Northside Neighborhood House has focused on providing holistic support for our neighbors of all ages north of the Tennessee River, offering a hand up for a brighter future. Through sustainable solutions and community empowerment, we provide support and create opportunities for our community to learn, connect, and thrive. Community Schools is one of NNH's 3 core programs.
What We Do
NNH’s Thrift Stores are “Shopping that Matters” and they’re one of the most important engines behind our mission. Celebrating six consecutive years as a Chattanooga Times Free Press Best of the Best winner, our stores offer quality clothing and household items at affordable prices, with vouchers available at no cost through partner agencies for neighbors who need it most. Our Thrift Stores generate nearly half of NNH’s income, directly funding our Community Schools and Stability services. Every item donated, every purchase made, and every hour volunteered helps keep our community strong.
