Before Your First Shift
- Complete our online intake form here: Court Ordered Volunteer Registration Form & required paperwork
- Schedule your interview with our team
- Submit your information for a background check
Why this role matters:
Every dollar our thrift stores earn helps fund NNH's Community Schools and Stability Services. Thrift volunteers keep merchandise moving from the donation bin to the sales floor, and a well-stocked, organized store is what makes that revenue possible.
What you get:
- Hours tracked automatically from check-in to check-out
- A signed verification letter upon request for your supervising agency or court
- Flexible scheduling within posted shift windows
- Meaningful, hands-on work with a great team of staff and volunteers
Scheduling
When you sign up for a shift, you're letting us know roughly when to expect you — you're not locked into the full window. Show up when you can, check in at the kiosk, and check out when you leave. Your hours are recorded based on actual time here, not the shift window.
We ask that you sign up ahead of time when possible, but if you weren't able to, you can register at the kiosk when you arrive. Just select the shift that lines up with when you're walking in. Scroll down to view available shifts.
Hour Documentation
Our system automatically tracks your hours from kiosk check-in to check-out.
You can download a record of your volunteer hours directly from your account using the following steps.
- Click the circular button in the top right corner of the menu

- Select "view profile" from the dropdown
- Once on you profile, select Volunteer Resume. From there you can set a date range and download a PDF. If you need your hours documented in a different format, reach out to kbagley@nnhouse.org and we'll work with you from there.
